Hi sir/mam,
My father was having nexito plus tablet from some long time, but to maintain Natural sleep order he stopped that medicine from last 14 days.
Is it okay to stop suddenly or does it cause any problem if stopped suddenly.

It should not be stopped suddenly at once, it's a combination of Clonazepam and escitalopram
At first Clonazepam should be gradually tapered and stopped, escitalopram continued
Further on the basis of symptoms and improvement, escitalopram should be optimised
Medications adjustment should be done through the guidance of the doctor to prevent reoccurrence of symptoms
It’s advisable to never stop medicines abruptly as it can cause rebound symptoms on discontinuation. Always discuss with your psychiatrist regarding tapering of medicines or other symptoms of concern.
