My brother has sleeping apnea

Asked for Male, 53 Years

Brother aged about 53 yrs has sleeping difficulties due to mental tress for which he takes Lonazep 0.5 mg and Pexep 20 at bed time. BUT THE PROBLEM is that he has been detected suffering from OSA. I want to kindly know whether to go for surgery for the treatment of OSA or any psychiatric medicine is there for treatment of the said OSA. The OSA was last detected 10 yr back and still persisting which was affirmed by the study of his sleep very recently.

Obstructive sleep sleep apnea needs to be treated at the earliest as it can have systemic effects if not treated. There are various methods of treatment such as lifestyle changes, weight loss etc. If all other options fail then surgery may be required
