Kindly check whether it is Maxtra or Maxtra-P drops as only maxtra drops is not for fever. if using maxtra p drops then kindly check if you are giving the adequate dose of paracetamol which is 15mg/kg/dose. If the fever subsides with oral drops then no need to give suppository as it will recur with that also. If fever persists then kindly get your child checked by a pediatrician to see for the cause of fever and then treat it.

Most fevers in children are viral in origin and take 3-7 days to subside completely. As long as she's active physically and feeding normally and passing urine normally, just give paracetamol for fever and repeat every 4 hours if required. If not improving OR accompanied by other symptoms like vomiting or loose motions or coughing and breathlessness or dullness and refusal to feed, consult your paediatrician or me here. Avoid suppository, give a high fiber diet, giving 2 solid meals and just 4 milk feeds including one top milk feed using a spoon and katori in a day.
