Muscle Injury due to heavy workout
3 days ago due to heavy workout at the gym, I strained my tricep muscles. There is swelling around the elbows in both arms and I am not able to bend my arms. I took a Creatine Kinase Serum blood test on Sunday from a private lab. Today I went to see an Orthopedist. He told me to refrain from heavy exercises for the next 4-6 weeks and gave some pain killers and anti-inflammatory tablets. But after I came back to office after meeting the doctor, I received my blood test report. Creatine Kinase level is 20,000 U/L. It's very very high. Should I go back to the doctor and inform him about this report or just follow what he has recommended? Is it serious?

Just take rest and painkillers, ice packs.you'll feel better in 2 wks. Don't worry about the test. It's high in ppl going to gym and in muscle sprain. If it gets worse in 2 wks then go to your local ortho
