Any simple oral ulcer will Heal within 7 to 10 days uneventfully unless complicated by secondary factors. You can use anaesthetic ointment like dologel CT for temporary symptomatic relief till that time. It is important to understand the role of medications that are prescribed. For example, the appointments containing anesthetics like lignocaine will only provide temporary relief and not play a role in the healing of the ulcer. Contrary to common belief, multivitamins do not cure any ulcers which have already formed, but should be taken for general Physical health as well as better integrity of oral tissues. If you are symptoms continue beyond 10 days you should definitely visit a dentist for a proper case evaluation. Regards.
