Hello Doctor,
This is my father’s MRI report. He developed an ulcer about 3 months ago, which appeared soon after a dental prosthetic implant. The ulcer has been non-healing, so the doctor advised an MRI.
Based on the report the current plan suggested is to proceed with surgery along with a biopsy to confirm the type of cancer.
We are quite concerned and wanted your expert opinion. Could you please guide us on the next best step? Is proceeding directly with surgery along with biopsy the right approach, or should we consider a biopsy first before planning definitive treatment?
Which doc should I refer Onco/ OMFs?

Please visit a oral and maxillofacial surgeon, they ll collaborate with oncosurgeon and proceed.
Or you can approach an Oncosurgeon and they MUST work with OMFS
Both are needed for this case.
See what is feasible for you.
