Viral fever usually takes longer to settle down compared to a bacterial infection. Don’t have to worry until and unless the child is feeding properly and not dehydrated. Also keep a check if the symptoms are not worsening
Next Steps
We can discuss further if you wish to. Kindly consult for further details on his condition

viral fever takes 7 days ,after 7 days it gets auto resolved if it's minor viral infections, First 3 days will be fever ,joint pains,  bodyache, From 4 th day fever starts to reduce till 7 th day Fever more than 100°f is significant . Fever  is natural body response for fighting with infections. If the patient is accepting oral diet and passing urine and looks active mostly no need to worry for viral fever
Health Tips
if given paracetamol still fever doesn't come ,start sponging with cloth with normal water  whole body  2 -3 time.
