I went to a walk-in clinic for a lump on one cheek, and was diagnosed with mumps. The doctor prescribed doxycycline, which I've been taking twice a day for the past two days.
Before I started taking it, I had some mild chest pain. Now, after I take it, I'll get some abdominal pain, sometimes sharp shooting pain on my back near my sides. It doesn't last long, and it's not debilitating, but it's worrying.

Hello where are you with doxy cycling now you have the problem of gastritis which is probably the cause of the pain you mention I would suggest you to take antacid tablet like pantoprazole along with it as a no on empty stomach or 30 minutes before the breakfast and take the antibiotic immediately after the food ..nothing to worry. thank you
