A few days back I noticed a small lump under my skin near a vein that is usually not visible but when I keep the hand in certain positions it becomes visible. Its a bit bluish and I can move the skin above it also when I rub my fingers over it back and forth it seems to move. What could it be?

Thanks for sharing that. To better understand the condition, could you please specify which part of the body the bluish lump is located? If possible, sharing a clear picture would also help. Without seeing it or knowing the exact location, it’s difficult to give any opinion.

Usually bluish dilatations in limb be venous bulges which occur after standing long time!releaved after raising legs!
Able to move skin rules out adherent to skin or plane of swelling !venous malformation is rarer !able to answer if you give proper history and examination
