Your values: • Hemoglobin: 10 g/dL → Mild anemia • Vitamin D: 20 ng/mL → Deficiency • Vitamin B12: 306 pg/mL → Borderline low With symptoms: • Fatigue • Dizziness / floating sensation Your symptoms are very likely explained by iron deficiency anemia + vitamin D deficiency. Interpretation:
Next Steps
✔ 1. Identify Type of Anemia Before blindly starting iron, ideally check: • Serum ferritin • MCV • Peripheral smear Most common cause in your age group → iron deficiency (especially if heavy periods). ⸻ ✔ 2. Supplement Plan (General Guidance) After confirming iron deficiency: Iron supplement • Elemental iron 60–100 mg daily • Take after food (if gastric irritation) Vitamin D • 60,000 IU weekly for 6–8 weeks • Then maintenance monthly dose Vitamin B12 • Oral methylcobalamin 1000 mcg daily for 4–6 weeks Recheck Hb and Vitamin D after 8–10 weeks. ⸻ ✔ 3. Rule Out These Causes • Heavy menstrual bleeding • Thyroid dysfunction • Poor diet • Gut absorption issues If dizziness persists despite correction, further evaluation may be required.
Health Tips
✔ Take iron with vitamin C (improves absorption) ✔ Avoid tea/coffee 1 hour around iron dose ✔ Get 20 minutes sunlight exposure daily ✔ Include iron-rich foods (dates, spinach, jaggery, lentils) ✔ Include B12 sources (eggs, dairy, fortified foods) Your numbers are correctable and your symptoms are very likely nutritional in origin. Since anemia in women can have underlying causes (especially menstrual or thyroid-related), I recommend booking an online consultation so we can review your CBC indices and decide the exact dosage and duration rather than starting random supplements.

Women in your age low haemoglobin is from periods. Do the following, 1. Cholecalciferol 60k once every week for 8 weeks and then once every month for a year 2. Ferrous sulphate 200mg once a day for 6 weeks 3. Blood test CBP after 6 weeks All the best. www.jgsr-health-education.in
