Loose stools only in the morning for 5 days, without fever, vomiting, or blood in stools, are most commonly viral or due to transient gut irritation. In such cases, antibiotics are usually not required.
Two antibiotics are generally not needed for uncomplicated acute diarrhea unless:
There is high fever
Blood or mucus in stools
Severe abdominal pain
Suspected bacterial dysentery
Immunocompromised status
Unnecessary antibiotics can sometimes prolong diarrhea by disturbing normal gut flora.
Next Steps
For now, focus on:
Adequate ORS and fluids
Light diet (rice, curd, banana, toast)
Tab Sporolac for 3–5 days
Avoid oily/spicy food
Health Tips
If stools are more than 6–8 times per day, persistent beyond 7 days, associated with dehydration, blood in stool, or weight loss — then stool examination and targeted treatment would be appropriate.

Antibiotic should be avoided in Acute viral gastroenteritis (acute diarrhoea).
If you having high grd fever, bloody diarrhoea, rice water stool or diarrhoea persists more than 3-5 days then you can take antibiotics.
By the way both 2 antibiotics are not worng many companies give combination of 2 antibiotics in 1 pill. So it's genuinely ok
Health Tips
take ORS (1 pkt in 1 lt of water) as much as possible
take probiotic also
As such no antibiotic is needed for diarrhoea, because many acute infections are self subsiding. Rehydration is important. However if diarrhoea is persistent, severe, stools are with blood and mucous, fever occurs, then antibiotic is used. It can be either ciprofloxacin or metronidazole, based on character of stools, associated symptoms.
There isn't any need for 2 antibiotics as prescribed. Only have tab. Metro 400 3 times a day, with sporolac sachets 3 times a day and tab pan 40 mg 1 time. Please make sure that you keep your body hydrated,by drinking 2-3 liter of water every day
Only
1.Metro 400mg TDS for
2. Tab Bendiplus h/s weekly for 2 week
3. Tab vizylac TDS for 5 day
4. Cap pantop DSR e/s for 5 day
5. ORS powder with 1 litre water
Diet include
1. Coconut water in morning
2. Two Banana in afternoon
3. Curd 100 gm
Having loose stools without fever can be managed without antibiotics but since u r having from 5 days u can take antibiotics but 2 types are not necessary. Just metrogyl is enough. Sporolac is must and need to take ors ( powder satchets mixed in water)
Next Steps
Take boiled warm water plenty atleast 3-4 litres per day
If you have loose stool only in the morning for 5 days, no fever, and no blood in stool
— in most cases it is not necessary to give two antibiotics.
Important points:
Most acute diarrhea cases are viral → antibiotics are not needed.
If there is:
High fever
Blood/mucus in stool
Severe abdominal pain
Signs of dehydration
Suspected bacterial dysentery
→ then antibiotics may be justified.
Giving two antibiotics together is usually reserved for:
Severe bacterial infections
Suspected mixed infection
Cholera in outbreak setting
Immunocompromised patients
Otherwise, it is generally over-treatment.
For 5 days morning loose stool (no fever):
Common causes:
Post-infectious gut irritation
IBS (especially morning urgency)
Food intolerance
Mild bacterial infection
What is usually recommended:
ORS
Probiotics (like Saccharomyces boulardii or lactobacillus)
Light diet (khichdi, curd, banana)
Avoid oily/spicy food
Zinc (if child)
When to worry?
7 days persistent
Blood in stool
Weight loss
Severe weakness
Dehydration
If you want, tell me:
Any abdominal pain?
Any recent outside food?
Then I can guide more specifically.
Having loose stools without fever or any warning signs, having two antibiotics is unnecessary because it creates resistance and antibiotic associated diarrhea. Two antibiotics usually giving for intense conditions like dysentery, associated with fever.
Your condition can caused most probably by viral since it’s not associated with fever and it is short duration.
Next Steps
-if you had started with these antibiotics don’t stop suddenly ,taper the dose as it helps with prevention of resistance
-adequate hydration and take ors solution to prevent electrolyte imbalances
-probiotic capsules to improve gut flora
-consume easily digestible diet like curd, yogurt, rice, banana

Morning-only loose stool without fever often suggests mild infective or functional bowel disturbance rather than severe infection.
If this continues beyond a week or you develop new symptoms, a structured evaluation (including stool test and abdominal assessment) is advisable.
You may book an online consultation so we can review your symptoms carefully and decide whether antibiotics are truly necessary or not.
Loose motions for 5 days without fever are usually viral and settle on their own. In most simple cases, antibiotics are not required, and two antibiotics are usually not necessary.
Main treatment is:
• Plenty of fluids / ORS
• Light food (rice, curd, banana)
• Probiotics
Antibiotics are needed only if there is high fever, blood in stools, severe pain, or if symptoms are severe.
If loose motions continue beyond a few more days or worsen, further evaluation may be needed.

Hello,
Loose stools only in the morning for 5 days without fever is usually due to mild intestinal infection, food-related irritation, or sometimes stress-related bowel disturbance. The good part is that you don’t have fever or severe symptoms, which suggests it may not be a serious infection.
Regarding antibiotics — in most mild diarrhea cases, especially without fever or blood in stool, antibiotics are often not required. Two antibiotics are usually given only if the doctor suspects a bacterial infection. Otherwise, overuse can sometimes worsen loose stools by disturbing gut bacteria.
Next Steps
What you can do next:
• Continue prescribed medicines for now unless side effects occur.
• Take plenty of fluids and ORS to prevent dehydration.
• Add probiotics or curd to restore gut bacteria.
• Avoid outside food, oily and spicy items.
• If loose stools continue beyond 7 days, or blood/mucus appears, get stool test done.
Health Tips
Drink 2.5–3 liters of clean water daily.
• Eat light foods like rice, dal, banana, curd.
• Maintain hand hygiene before meals.
Yes , because of your diarrhoea is more than 3 days and its not resolved own so its called pathological or infectory diarrhea. Continue your treatment, you will be recovered soon.
As you are not having any fever, blood in stools(not mentioned) the need for antibiotics should be questioned. We have to rule out many causes.
History should be noted
