Sticky stools indicate underlying gastrointestinal infection is present there. You should take light diet, ORS and probiotics. Please consult us personally for prescription and further advice

Looks like acute infection from outside food, and now gut is still irritated post infection phase, that’s why semi liquid sticky stools are continuing. Don’t randomly continue antibiotics again. For now stay on light diet curd rice, khichdi, banana take plenty of fluids and ORS continue probiotics If it’s persisting beyond this or not fully settling, we may need stool tests and proper adjustment of medicines. Book a consultation, I’ll guide you step by step and help you recover completely.

This appears to be post-infectious gastroenteritis. It is common to have semi-solid or sticky stools for a few days after an acute diarrheal episode, as the intestine takes time to recover. If you have already completed the prescribed course of antibiotics, you do not need to continue them again. You may continue probiotic (e.g., Saccharomyces boulardii) for 5–7 days. Maintain adequate hydration and take light diet (rice, curd, banana, buttermilk). Avoid oily, spicy and street food for a few more days.
Next Steps
If you develop fever, blood in stool, severe abdominal pain, or diarrhea persists beyond one week, please consult for stool examination and further evaluation.

Your infection is goes away by antibiotic treatment, but due to antibiotic treatment, your gut flora is loss .so this gut flora is increased by lactobacillus solution.so take this and use more curd in diet.you will be fine in 2 to 3 days.

"The symptoms you are experiencing—persistent semi-liquid and 'sticky' stools after a severe episode of food poisoning (Anda Bhurji)—suggest that while the initial acute infection was treated, your gut's natural bacterial balance (flora) has been disrupted. This is often called Post-Infectious Irritable Bowel Syndrome (PI-IBS). The 'stickiness' can indicate that your intestines are not yet absorbing fats or nutrients properly due to the recent inflammation of the intestinal lining (mucosa)."
Next Steps
Gut Dysbiosis: The antibiotics you took (Rifaxigyl M) killed the bad bacteria but also affected the good ones. This leads to a temporary imbalance where stools don't form properly. Malabsorption: Sticky stools often mean that the food is moving too fast through the small intestine, leaving behind unabsorbed mucus or fats. Incomplete Recovery: Even after the 'bad' bacteria are gone, the lining of your gut stays sensitive for 1–2 weeks, reacting to even normal healthy food.
Health Tips
Stop Antibiotics (For Now): Since you have completed the initial course and the diarrhea isn't 'severe' or 'watery' anymore, you don't necessarily need more antibiotics. Focus on Probiotics: You need to repopulate your gut. Start a high-quality Probiotic sachet or capsule (containing Saccharomyces boulardii or Lactic Acid Bacillus) for at least 5–7 days. Feel free to connect and consult For a specific probiotic , a prescription for gut-healing medications, and direct follow-up on your recovery, you can consult me directly through my profile.
