Liver cirrhosis with 31kpa
My father is diagnosed with liver cirrhosis last month where lft was but rise and ggt was 158 .. this month the lft was normal but ggt is 162 .. kindly tell us why ggt is not decreasing inspite of the fact that he has stopped taking alchol and fatty products

Cirrhosis is an irreversible disease, it's unlikely that all reports will be completely normal GGT may persistently be high for long periods even after stopping alcohol Treatment depends on present symptoms only
