Knee pain in the Right knee
I experience knee pain when whenever i walk down hill. The pain is only in my right knee. It surfaces any time for a while and goes. When I wear a knee cap the pain does not come. Is there any joint and bone supplement I should try.

Hi. Walking downhill and causing knee pain is the most common symptom of weak Quadriceps which exerts the whole pressure on your knee cap. This may be a start of chondromalacia. I suggest you to stop wearing knee cap as this will not allow your Quadriceps to fire and you may feel better momentarily but this will be not good for your knees. Try Quadriceps strengthening exercises in gym and do cycling and swimming. This should take care of your pain in couple of months. I hope I answered your query

• Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold). • Avoid Squatting- • Avoid sitting Cross legged • Contrast bath---It is a form of treatment in which knee is applied warm water followed by the immediate application of the knee with ice water. This procedure is repeated several times, alternating hot and cold. Note that the treatment should always end in the ice water, as heat will induce the body's inflammatory response, while cold helps to decrease inflammation.
