My mother aged 57, having knee pain for a couple of years. As per the suggestion from the doctors in practo, I have taken her to an orthopedic doctor. He took an x ray and told that the knee is weak and may need a knee replacement surgery. For time being he suggested physiotherapy and the tablets Retoz MR 4 and pantorich 40. If the pain and swell appears again, then proceed for knee replacement. Is it good to take these tablets? Kindly let me know whether it will reduce the pain? Any side effects? If the pain reduced, after how much time knee replacement surgery required.

If he has seen the xray and suggested knee replacement then probably she already has stage 4 knee osteoarthritis...medicine is just to buy time.. but eventually she may need surgery any time you are convenient
