Knee, calf and thigh pain
Hi Doctor, I am suffering from knee, thigh and calf pain from last 3 days, main throbing pain is around knee and calf with no swelling. Currently I am working from home from last 9 months and do my work sitting 10 hours a day. I keep my laptop on my thighs mainly while working. It causes no effect earlier but from last few days I am feeling pain in legs while walking. It would be great if pain can be eliminated as I am massaging and taking painkiller with no relief. Should I use knee support or pad. Thank you.

Hi... It would be great if you could do a video call for me to be able to tell you what issue you have. But based on what you are saying, it can either be Knee osteoarthritis or pressure on a nerve in your lower back which is causing pain to spread to your thigh and leg. Try the following: *Apply hot water bag 10 minutes twice a day *After applying hot water bag apply Nobel Gel *Tab Flexon 1 tablet after lunch and 1 tablet after dinner for 7 days if you are not allergic to it *Tab Pantakind 1 tablet before breakfast in the morning for 7 days *Tab Gabaneuron 1 tablet at 7pm for 10 days *For your knee, refer to the video given in the link below: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bE3xkOIekiU *Avoid sitting/sleeping on the floor. Sit on a stool/chair and sleep on the bed. *Avoid sitting cross legged. *Avoid using stairs as much as possible. *Avoid using Indian Toilet. Use a Western style toilet or a foldable toilet chair. *Avoid sitting on a stool/chair for more than 15 minutes at a stretch. After every 15 minutes, get up for 1 minute and then sit back again. This is very important! *Whenever you sit on a stool/chair sit ahead on the edge of the chair/stool. This way you will automatically sit straight. Don't try and get back support by sitting behind... otherwise you will involuntarily bend your spine and increase your back problem. *Avoid bending forward with your knees straight. Bend your knees and then bend forward. *Avoid riding bike car as much as possible until your pain subsides. *Avoid sitting on soft sofas.
Next Steps
Follow the above steps and do let me know if you have pain relief after 1 week.
