Is this Dengu Fever?
Hi Doc,
I have fever from 23rd evening I did a lab test of fever panel and after day repeat CBC as prescribed by my physician.
Now in new CBC report my cell reduced to 1.05 lac
And TLC is 1.8
I am worried now...

Yes possibly it may be dengue fever. Now their are certain tests like dengue NS1 Antigen which is needed to be performed before actually diagnosing it along with keeping an eye check on declining platelet count.

It may be dengue fever but u need to confirm it by specific tests of dengue. There is qualitative and quantitative defect in platelets in dengue, i mean platelet at 1 lac may be not normal functioning. So read about warning symptoms of dengue from google doc and if u have any of those then consult a physician urgently.
