Is Baby weight gain 25 g/per day normal?
My daughter's birth weight was 2.72Kg. But after 11 days it reduced to 2.53Kg. After that she is gaining 25 g/day on average. Her current weight (35 days) 3.16 KG. Is her weight gain normal? She is currently only on breastfeeding.

Child's optimum weight gain in a day can be 20 to 30 gm per day. Initial days in breast feeding are very difficult. It is hard to establish breastfeeding. Good that child is exclusive breastfeeding. Continue your efforts. From 2.53 to 3.14 in 25 days is equal to 25gm/day so it is great. Continue breastfeeding. No top feeding. Watch for weight gain of 300 to 400gm in every 2 weeks. Urine frequency of 8+ each day.
