Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician (Ex Govt Medical Officer at RML Hospital, New Delhi), and your case has been allotted to me. Thank you for sharing your reports. Having iron, Vitamin D, and B12 deficiency together is quite common, and the good part is that all three are correctable with the right approach. What you should do now 1. Iron deficiency Supplements: • Oral iron like ferrous ascorbate or ferrous sulfate once daily (preferably empty stomach) Diet: • Green leafy vegetables, beetroot • Jaggery, dates, raisins • Lentils, chickpeas • Non vegetarian sources like eggs and red meat 👉 Take iron with Vitamin C (lemon, orange) for better absorption 👉 Avoid tea or coffee within 1 hour of iron intake 2. Vitamin D deficiency Supplements: • 60,000 IU once weekly for 6 to 8 weeks, then maintenance • Maintenance: 2000 IU daily or 60,000 IU once monthly Lifestyle: • Sun exposure 20 to 30 minutes, 3 to 4 times per week 3. Vitamin B12 deficiency Supplements: • Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg daily for 2 to 3 months, then maintenance Diet: • Milk, curd, paneer • Eggs, fish, chicken • Fortified cereals Vegetarians usually need long term supplementation Important advice • Do not stop supplements after feeling better • Repeat levels after 2 to 3 months • Maintain long term low dose to prevent recurrence When to consult a doctor • If severe weakness, dizziness, or tingling persists • If levels do not improve despite supplements Please remember that correcting all three deficiencies together will significantly improve your energy, immunity, mood, and overall health. For personalised one to one consultation and dose adjustment, you can reach out to me on WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven. Wishing you good health and recovery. Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician

This is common and can be corrected with supplements and diet. Take iron, vitamin D and B12 as prescribed, and add green veggies, fruits, milk, eggs/non-veg, and some sunlight daily. Please consult me for proper dose and duration based on your reports.

This is a combined deficiency of Iron, Vitamin D, and Vitamin B12, which is quite common and explains symptoms like fatigue, low energy, hair fall, or reduced immunity. In most cases, diet alone is not enough initially, so structured supplementation is required, followed by maintenance.
Next Steps
Iron: • Tablet containing Iron + Folic acid (e.g., Ferrous Ascorbate or Ferrous Sulfate) • Dose: once daily after food • Take with Vitamin C (lemon water/orange) for better absorption • Avoid tea/coffee 1 hour before/after Vitamin B12: • Methylcobalamin tablets • Dose: 1000–1500 mcg daily • Can be taken anytime (morning preferred) Vitamin D: • Cholecalciferol 60,000 IU once weekly for 6–8 weeks, then once monthly • Take after a meal containing fats (improves absorption) ⚠️ Important: • Do not take iron and calcium/Vitamin D together • Continue supplements for at least 2–3 months, then repeat tests
Health Tips
For Iron: • Green leafy vegetables (spinach), jaggery, dates, legumes • Non-veg: red meat, liver, egg yolk • Always combine with Vitamin C foods (lemon, amla) For Vitamin B12: • Milk, curd, paneer, eggs, chicken, fish • Vegetarians usually require long-term supplementation For Vitamin D: • 15–20 minutes sunlight exposure (morning) • Foods: egg yolk, fortified milk, mushrooms Avoid: • Tea/coffee immediately after meals • Poor sleep and sedentary lifestyle ⸻ If you share your exact lab values, I can customize the exact dose and duration for you—book a quick online consultation so we can correct these deficiencies efficiently and prevent long-term complications.
