Low dose iron is fine and if the syrup iron suits your stomach better then you can use it.
You can always try ‘Iron Fish’ which is by the way not a real fish. It is just a name.
All the best.

You can try with syrup instead of the tablet form.Livogen z contains ferrous fumerate, usually results in gastrointestinal tract irritation. If the syrup not ok with you,try ferrous bisglycinate which is gentle on the stomach
Elemental iron should be 100 to 120mg per tablet for around 2 months Tablet s or syrup check elemental iron strength
Then dosage can be reduced after blood tests
Next Steps
check iron profile in 2-3 months

Your reports show mild iron deficiency, not severe anemia:
• Hb 12 g/dL (near normal)
• Ferritin 40 (low–normal, but symptoms can occur)
• Iron studies are acceptable but suggest reduced iron stores
So iron supplementation is reasonable, but tolerance matters.
Yes — you can switch from Livogen Z tablet to Livogen Adult Tonic if the tablet is causing significant stomach upset. This is a common issue.
Next Steps
• Switch to Livogen Adult Tonic
• Monitor symptoms and tolerance
• Repeat Hb and ferritin after 2–3 months
Health Tips
• Take syrup after food (not empty stomach)
• Avoid tea/coffee within 1–2 hours
• Vitamin C (fruit or juice) improves absorption
• Continue for 8–12 weeks, then reassess
Yes ,
you can use livogen adult iron tonic for the same ,instead of the tablet
And it is tolerated a bit better than iron tablets in the gut .
However u need to use for longer duration than the tablets , your hb is good at 12 but iron levels are less ,which tells that there are no much iron stores ,so u should start taking this syrup for 6 weeks everyday in afternoon after food and then get the iron profile done again after 6 weeks .
Do not take any antacids for pain if u're on iron tonic/tablets .
Next Steps
consult for any queries on wat side effects u can expect
Health Tips
Do take the syrup with tablet Limcee/Vit-c which will help in aiding better absorption of iron in gut
As ur hb level is 12 you can add iron rich food to your diet along with syrup
Eg: red meat , dry fruits,broccoli, spinach,chickpeas,
Pumpkin seeds etc
Next Steps
After 1 month if hb is still not improving u should reasses for other causes
Health Tips
take iron rich foods with vitamin c rich foods (eg: oranges, lemon juice, kiwi, strawberries etc ). For better absorption of iron
avoid taking tea or coffee within 30 minutes of taking syrup
Serum iron 80 µg/dL ke saath GI intolerance ho to Livogen-Z ki jagah Livogen Adult Tonic le sakti hai, bas daily ~60–100 mg elemental iron equivalent dose maintain kareye gaa
