I have thin and weak hair

Actually From the beginning my hair was so thick and it was healthy than anyone else had... but about a one year back I started using heat products and hair wax and kept my hair upwards... after a very short period I felt hair fall and weak hair so I left using those useless produts ... but still my hair remained thin and weak... I tried many things to overcome this like I shaved my hair and used Amla oil as well as onion juice on my scalp. There was no improvement... And still my hair are in the same condition, despite the hair fall has stopped but the hair are very weak and Im not able to keep any hairstyle... I want to know any method to get back my old healthy and thick hair...
