If you have not had any injury around your knee joint,it could be just due to muscle tightness,you can check that by standing tall and then trying to touch your toes,if you are unable to do that and it hurts at the back of your knee,you could be having hammstring muscle tightness,do stretching of that muscle,in general do exercises basic ones,if it doesn't help consult a doctor.
