Bharat, thank you so much for your powerful message. It takes real courage to share your journey, especially as a person who has lived with OCD and schizophrenia for 15 years. Your insight is deeply meaningful—not just as a professional, but as someone who has walked this path. You’re absolutely right: the paradox of OCD is that the harder we try to “cure” or eliminate the thoughts, the more power we give them. The healing begins when we shift from fighting the thoughts to accepting their presence without reacting—letting them pass like clouds without judgment. What you’ve discovered aligns beautifully with core CBT principles and exposure and response prevention (ERP), and your lived experience brings it to life in a way theory never could. Thank you for saying, “I am okay now.” That’s a message full of hope. I’ll absolutely share your message with others who are still struggling, and I’m sure it will make a real difference. Take therapy, and you can connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five.

Your insight reflects a key therapeutic principle—non-engagement with obsessive thoughts. By shifting focus from fighting thoughts to accepting them, patients often experience relief. Your journey underlines the power of acceptance-based approaches like ERP and mindfulness. Your recovery is encouraging and a valuable message for both clinicians and patients.
