Hemoglobin 16.2 and rbc 6.35 million. Is it under normal? My resident doc said its normal...or is there something to worry...or do i have POLYSYTHIMIA VERA. What is life expectency for the people with POLYSYTHIMIA VERA? I m nervous sorry to ask so many questions... Note: i use to smoke till last week

No, it's not normal...Hb of 16 could be but not that rbc count. Polycythemia can be a cause of concern.
