I'm 37y old woman with 2 kids born through csection. I'm having a long term hemorrhoid issue. It's not painful and never caused a problem.
Of late, I had taken Regestrone cr 10mg for delaying periods for 10 days. While on it, they increased and now there is one pea sized sore lump on the outside of the area. Much sore to touch but not much painful - 4 in a scale of 10.
What should I do?

Based on history on haemorrhoids you are giving and complains of that newly found painful lump around perianal area, it could be thrombosed pile or hematoma pile,
Which actually is because of vessel bleed and entrapped blood under the skin,
Though warm sitz bath and applying topical medication will help in reducing pain ,
Best is to visit a general surgeon or a proctologist and if required get it drained.
Next Steps
Do not self medicate progesterone.
Warm sitz bath to be taken for perianal region
High fiber diet, hydration to maintain.
Health Tips
Visit a surgeon for further management of haemorrhoids because chronic haemorrhoids is dangerous and can also lead to anemia with ongoing blood loss.
