Having cough and severe throat pain

I am having cough and severe throat pain from last few days. Because of severe throat pain, I am unable to swallow food properly and have difficulty in eating food. Kindly suggest good medicine for the same.

Hello , In the setting of a pandemic you have to exclude COVID 19 by going through a RTPCR test ! In case positive do consult a specialist physician online after initiating strict home isolation ! In case negative , which very well be in your case , it’ll be have to considered as an upper respiratory tract infection of bacterial / non COVID viral origin ! You might start gargling with Salted lukewarm water three times a day / betadine gargle and mouth wash with Chlorhexidine m/w ! Also increase fluid intake and have paracetamol 1000mg twice daily after meals ! Do not initiate antibiotics which you’ll need for either of the case without consulting a specialist physician !
