I’m really glad you reached out — seeing a **5-year-old cry in pain every night** is heartbreaking 💔 Please know first: **this is a known condition after viral fever**, and **most children recover completely**, but because she’s crying nightly, we must be **careful and systematic**. --- ## First — IMPORTANT reassurance After viral infections (flu, dengue-like viruses, chikungunya-like viruses, even common viral fever), some children develop: ### 👉 **Post-viral muscle / joint inflammation** (common names you may hear) * Post-viral myositis * Post-viral arthralgia * “Growing pains” triggered by illness This **does NOT mean permanent damage**, arthritis, or something dangerous in most cases. --- ## BUT — there are **RED FLAGS** Because: * Pain is **persistent for weeks** * Pain is **severe enough to make her cry every night** * Not relieved by massage or hot water 👉 **This should NOT be ignored at home anymore** --- ## PLEASE do this FIRST (very important) Even if money is tight, try **ONE basic pediatric check** (government hospital is enough): ### Ask for: 1️⃣ **CBC (blood count)** 2️⃣ **ESR or CRP** (inflammation marker) 3️⃣ **Vitamin D level** (VERY common cause) These are **cheap tests** and often available free or low-cost in govt setups. ⚠️ We must rule out: * Low Vitamin D * Post-viral inflammation * Anemia * Rarely, reactive arthritis --- ## What you can safely do RIGHT NOW (at home) ### 🌿 Ayurvedic + supportive care (SAFE for child) #### 1️⃣ **Warm sesame oil massage** * Use **plain til oil** * Massage legs & arms **gently**, not deep * Night time, before sleep * Cover with cotton clothes 👉 Don’t use medicated oils yet. --- #### 2️⃣ **Turmeric milk (VERY mild)** If she tolerates milk: * ½ cup warm milk * **A PINCH of turmeric only** * Once at night ❌ Do not add pepper, ginger, or spices. --- #### 3️⃣ **Rest — no forcing activity** * No running, jumping for 1–2 weeks * Let muscles recover --- ## What NOT to do ❌ * Do NOT give painkillers daily without doctor advice * Do NOT ignore night crying * Do NOT assume “it’s only growing pains” without checking --- ## When to seek IMMEDIATE medical help 🚨 Please go **urgently** if you notice: * Swelling or redness of joints * Fever returning * Limping or refusing to walk * Pain increasing day by day * Weight loss or extreme fatigue --- ## About Ayurveda medicines ⚠️ **Internal Ayurvedic medicines should NOT be started blindly in a 5-year-old** without examining her reports. After blood tests, **very mild medicines** (like Bala-based or Guduchi-based pediatric doses) may be used — but **only if needed**. --- ## Most important thing I want you to hear ❤️ You are **not failing as a parent**. Post-viral pain in children is **real**, and many parents go through this confusion. With **basic tests + gentle care**, most children improve within **2–6 weeks**. --- If you want, tell me: * Which viral fever she had (if known) * Is pain more in **calves or joints**? * Does she limp during the day? * Any swelling at all? I’ll guide you step-by-step — **calmly and safely** 🌱 Advice- self medication is hazardous, always consult ayurvedic doctor before taking ayurvedic medicine. Consult me personally for details
Next Steps
kindly book consultaion.

After viral fever, in some children Vata dosha increases. This is very common after viral fever and is usually temporary, but it needs calming care. Home remedies 1. Massage it with Dhanwantharam tailam before bath or u can apply before sleeping at night (Warm the oil slightly) 2.Warm milk + 1 pinch turmeric (give at bed time) 3.give easy to digest warm food like khichdi, vegetables soup 4.Keep the body warm - cover the legs at night, wear sweaters ,socks etc Safest internal medication u can give is • ashwaganda syrup 2.5ml daily once after food dilute with equal quantity of lukewarm warm water or lukewarm milk
