Hair fall and thinning

Hi, I am having regular hairfall for last 4 years leading to lot of hair thinning and poor density. I have been advised PRP therapy for treatment. Please advise if this line of treatment is right and any side effects that it can cause or i should consider some alternate treatment. Regards R
