Doctor, I am recently underwent Mastoid Tympanoplasty in my left ear on Sep 4th. Now I had fever, severe body pain and cold for the past 3 days. Taking prescribed antibiotic and cold fever tablets but still my body pain comes on and off. No temperature but feel joints pain, tired and feverish. Do I have to take blood tests...

Hi, It could be due to viral fever. You should get few basic investigations done. Complete blood count, Dengue NS1 antigen. You should take plenty of oral fluids ORS and paracetamol 500mg thrice daily. Maintain a temperature record Hopefully you should get better soon. Best wishes
