For extreme cough
Hello doctor, My mother had fever and cough a few days ago. After taking prescribed medicines, the fever is gone and the cough has almost resolved. However, whenever she lie down to sleep, the cough starts again. In a sitting or upright position, there is no cough or little bit. Why is it happening only while lying down? What she can do? Which medicine, should I take?

She might have got some infection caught up in her lungs. When she lies down, since her diaphragm goes up and lung reserve decreases, she might feel breathing difficulty and coughs up. Kindly consult for better clarification. Don't worry, this can be sorted out. Thank you.
