If the chest pains are sharp and get worse when you take a breath in, then do the following,
1. Regular paracetamol
2. Blood tests: D-dimer, CBP, KFT, CRP
3. Chest x ray (and if D-dimer high, CT pulmonary angiogram)
All the best.

From the ECG image:
• Heart rate appears around 90–100 bpm
• Rhythm looks regular
• P waves visible before each QRS
• No obvious acute ST elevation visible in this photo
This pattern is most consistent with sinus tachycardia, not a dangerous arrhythmia.
Given history:
• Recent flu
• Body weakness
• Headache with exertion
• Chest discomfort
• Fast heart rate
Most likely causes:
• Post-viral fatigue syndrome
• Dehydration
• Anxiety after illness
• Mild costochondritis (post-viral chest wall pain)
However, after flu, we must rule out viral myocarditis if:
• Chest pain is persistent
• Pain increases on exertion
• Breathlessness present
• Heart rate remains persistently high at rest
Your symptoms sound more like post-viral weakness + sinus tachycardia, which is common and usually temporary.
Next Steps
✔ Check resting pulse (while lying down for 10 minutes)
✔ Monitor temperature
✔ Check BP
✔ Stay well hydrated
✔ Take Paracetamol for headache if needed
Investigations to consider if symptoms continue beyond 3–5 days:
• Troponin I
• CRP
• Repeat ECG
• 2D Echo
Go to emergency immediately if:
• Severe chest pressure
• Breathlessness
• Fainting
• Heart rate persistently >120 at rest
Health Tips
✔ Post-flu recovery can take 1–2 weeks
✔ Avoid heavy work/exercise temporarily
✔ Increase fluids + electrolytes
✔ Proper sleep is essential
✔ Avoid caffeine for a few days
Right now, this looks more like post-viral sinus tachycardia rather than a dangerous rhythm problem — but persistent chest pain should never be ignored.
If you’d like, I can review your exact pulse rate, oxygen level, and pain characteristics in detail to rule out myocarditis confidently.
Booking an online consultation would allow proper risk stratification and give you safe clearance for activity.
