Ear drainage even after long treatment

Asked for Male, 43 Years

I have ear infection since my childhood now I an of 43 years old. my ent doctor diagnosed perforated ear in both ears. He has done surgery of one years but there is small hole again in eardrum. my problem is that there is some liquid is coming from ear if I sleep this ear down I. e., on pillow side but almost dry in day time

You seem to be suffering from bilateral chronic otitis media which is a common type of middle ear infection. Also you have failed surgery on one side of ear. Whenever there is perforation of ear drum it leads to recurrent middle ear infection leading to chronic ear discharge. Permanent treatment is surgery. To control ear discharge you can use ciplox d ear drops three drops three times daily for five days. Keep your ear dry by using cotton swab while taking bath and also you should treat yourself immediately during attacks of common cold. If drops are not working then you may need to take antibiotics tablets
