Your symptoms suggest gastritis or dyspepsia (indigestion). The pain below ribs on both sides that gets worse after eating is typical of stomach irritation. The tingling sensation could be from gas buildup or muscle strain. Since you can press on it and feel the pain, it's likely in the abdominal wall muscles or digestive organs, not the bones. The fact that movement sometimes helps means it could also involve muscle tension. This is usually manageable with medicines and diet changes, but needs proper evaluation if it continues.
Next Steps
1. Start Pantoprazole 40mg - Take one tablet empty stomach in morning before breakfast for 2 weeks 2. Buy Digene or Gelusil syrup - Take 2 teaspoons after meals when you have pain (gives quick relief) 3. Try Gas-O-Fast or Eno for immediate relief from gas and bloating 4. Eat smaller, frequent meals - Don't eat large meals at once 5. Avoid spicy food, tea, coffee, and carbonated drinks for now 6. See a gastroenterologist if pain continues after 2 weeks or gets worse 7. Get an ultrasound abdomen if your doctor recommends it to rule out gallstones
Health Tips
⚠️ Go to ER immediately if: - Severe pain that won't go away - Vomiting blood or black stools - High fever with pain - Yellow eyes or skin ✅ Good news: - Most cases are treatable with medicines - Usually improves in 1-2 weeks with treatment 🚫 Avoid these: - Alcohol and smoking - Pain killers like Ibuprofen (makes stomach worse) - Late night eating - Lying down immediately after eating 💡 Helpful tip: Keep a food diary to see what triggers your pain

Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician. Your case has been allotted to me. I understand your concern. Dull intermittent pain around the navel and under the ribs, especially if it worsens after eating and feels like a tingling or pressure sensation, is commonly due to gastric acidity, bloating, or mild muscle strain of the abdominal wall. Sometimes trapped gas or inflammation of the stomach lining (gastritis) can cause similar discomfort. The fact that it improves with movement and pressing suggests it’s likely muscular or digestive, not bone-related. 1. Advices Eat small, frequent meals and avoid lying down for at least 2 hours after eating. Avoid spicy, oily food, carbonated drinks, tea, coffee, and late-night meals. Include curd or buttermilk and plenty of water in your routine. 2. What to Monitor Any relation of pain to meals — before eating, after eating, or during motion. Associated symptoms like acidity, nausea, bloating, or changes in bowel habit. 3. Management You may try Pantoprazole 40 mg once daily before breakfast for 7 days. If you have bloating, add Simethicone + Domperidone (Gas medicine) after meals for 3–5 days. Gentle stretching or mild core exercises may help if muscular tenderness persists. If pain continues, an abdominal ultrasound may be done to rule out gallbladder, pancreas, or intestinal causes. 4. When to Consult a Doctor Immediately Persistent vomiting, black stool, or severe continuous pain. Sudden increase in pain intensity or associated fever. Pain radiating to back or right shoulder after fatty meals. Every patient’s situation is unique. Most such abdominal discomforts resolve within a week of proper rest, hydration, and dietary correction. 👉 You can reach out to me directly for this case, and also connect with me in future for any medical consultation. I am available on Practo or on WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven for a one-on-one consultation, where you’ll receive: • A personalized treatment plan • Safe medicine adjustments (if required) • Quick follow-ups to track your recovery Take care, wishing you good health. Best regards, Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician

Your symptoms suggest that the pain may be due to acidity, gas, or mild gastritis — especially since it worsens after meals. It doesn’t sound serious, but you should get examined if it continues.
