You finished your full rabies vaccine course just 2 months ago, so you’re already well protected. A new dog bite within this time doesn’t require any booster.
Next Steps
Just wash the area thoroughly with soap and water for 10–15 minutes and apply an antiseptic. No ARV booster is needed unless the dog is showing signs of rabies.
Health Tips
Your recent vaccination gives long-lasting protection, so you are safe.

It would appear you had a vaccine (almost) every two months over the last four years. You should get antibody testing done before any more vaccine shots. ***Please be aware (low risk but possible) adverse effects of vaccine. So you have to really keep away from the risk ie dogs if you can. All the best. J G S R clinic

No need to worry. You do not need to repeat your vaccine within 3 months of a completed dose.

Hello, I’ve gone through your history carefully. You’ve taken multiple doses of anti-rabies vaccine over the past few years, and the most recent full course was completed just 2 months ago. That means your body already has a strong immunological memory against the virus. A few important points: 1. Even if one dose bled out, the rest of the schedule was completed, so your immunity is considered intact. 2. When someone who has completed a proper ARV course gets a fresh dog bite, the need for booster depends on: How long ago the last full course was The type of exposure Whether the bite is superficial or deep 3. In your case, since the last course was recent, the protection is usually good but the decision for a booster should be based on wound examination + exact exposure category, not guesswork. Right now the safest option is proper evaluation of the wound and your previous vaccination schedule to decide whether a booster is actually needed or not. Don’t delay because rabies decisions must be precise. You can message me privately and I will guide you step-by-step after checking the details of the bite: w.h.a.t.s.a.p.p at nine three two six zero two zero five three six.

Yes, you can take an ARV booster — and you ONLY need 2 booster doses (Day 0 and Day 3). You do NOT need a full course. You do NOT need ERIG. Your immunity is already very strong. You have taken 22 anti-rabies vaccines in 4 years, and the last complete dose was just 2 months ago (4-10-2025). This means your body already has very strong memory immunity. So according to WHO + NIMHANS + Govt of India guidelines: For previously vaccinated persons (even 1 course in life is enough): Only 2 booster doses are required: • Day 0 (today) • Day 3 No matter how many years later the exposure happens. You have taken many more than required, so you are one of the most protected people.
Next Steps
What you should do now Since it is a real dog bite, not just a lick or touch: Take 1 booster today (Day 0) Take 1 booster after 3 days (Day 3) And that’s it. No more doses. No ERIG / No Immunoglobulin Because you are already fully vaccinated many times.
Health Tips
Important • Extra doses NEVER reduce immunity. • No “overdose” effect with rabies vaccine. • A small amount of blood coming out after an injection DOES NOT affect immunity — your dose was absorbed.

“Since you already completed a full anti-rabies vaccine course just 2 months ago, you are still protected. For a new dog bite, you do NOT need the full course again—only two booster doses are enough (Day 0 and Day 3). The dose that bled slightly earlier is not a problem since you later completed the course normally. Please take the two booster doses as soon as possible and clean the wound properly.”contact for any queries thanku
