Difference In Serum Creatinine Levels
My Serum Creatinine level came 1.10 mg/dl (lab reference range 0.6 - 1.30) from one lab & 1.18 mg/dl (lab reference range upto 1.4) from another lab There is a variation of 0.08 mg/dl between the test results done from two different labs on the same day Need to know whether Serum Creatinine test results depends on the respective lab's references ranges & could vary from lab to lab due to difference in the reference ranges

Yes the serum creatinine fluctuates with lab and test kit used and the variation on 10-15 % with each report as long as it's within the range we consider normal.a increase of more than 0.3 is considered pathological and cause needs to be investigated
