Care AI Shimmer
It is unfortunately coming for indefinite use of oral antibiotics for all diarrhoea illness. Good care is to monitor and only consider antibiotics if - blood in stools, fever with diarrhoea or if a stool sample shows evidence of bacterial infection. So to answer your question about OFM- hold off. You could start probiotic of choice, more frequent breast feeding to continue and monitor activity and urine output
Next Steps
Frequent breast feeds Monitor alertness and activity, if stools are big and watery everytime be ready to consider medical review Send stool for routine and culture investigations
