My 19-month-old son has had loose motions for the past 4 days.
On Wednesday, we attended a marriage function where he ate a variety of foods and was exposed to very low AC temperature.
On Thursday, he developed loose motions along with vomiting and mild fever. Since Friday, the vomiting and fever have resolved, but the diarrhea has continued until now.
Currently, his stools are completely liquid and yellow in color. I have also noticed reduced urine output.
He is not taking ORS well and overall fluid intake is low. The only positive is that he is breastfeeding more frequently.
Additionally, he seems less active than usual and is more sleepy.
I am concerned about dehydration and would like guidance on further management and whether any medication or evaluation is required.

Greetings
The child shows significant signs of dehydration, specifically reduced urine output, lethargy, and poor oral intake, which require immediate medical evaluation by a pediatrician. Since he is not accepting ORS and has persistent liquid stools, he may need intravenous fluids or supervised rehydration to prevent further complications. Continue frequent breastfeeding as it provides essential hydration and nutrients, but do not rely on it as the sole treatment given the clinical signs. Avoid administering anti-diarrheal medications or antibiotics without a formal diagnosis, as the cause is likely viral or related to food exposure

To control the loose stools urgently use following medicines
Enterogermina thrice daily 1 tube morning afternoon and night for 3days
• Syrup Zinconia 5ml once daily for 3days
• ORS 1 sachet in 1litre of water and give 100ml every 2nd hourly
• Redotil sachet 1 sachet in 25ml of water give morning afternoon night for 3days
This is more than simple diarrhea as urine output is reduced and baby is less active. It suggests dehydration. Please get him physically examined today, he may need fluids. Don’t delay.
