Diabetes problem
Dear doctor,
My mom is suffering from diabetes since 3years.doctor suggested her to control in diet.as of now its ok.but from past 5days there is swelling on her both ankels.today we went for sugar test it shows before breakfast is 168 and after breakfast is 246,serum cratin is 1.2.what is serum cratin?now what she have to do either control in diet or have to take tablet?to control the sugar.pls help.

Sugars are little high. Get her HbA1c test done.
She needs to increase diabetic medication.
Her creatinine is little on higher side which suggests kidney problem and may be causing swelling in legs.
Consult a good Nephrologist and diabetologist for change of medication
