Please share details of your symptoms,  since how many days you are taking this medicine? If just 2 or 3 days, continue it. In addition,  take some honey regularly with hot water or ginger. Do hot water gargles with betadine solution. Get cbc done and share results.

From the image, I can identify: • Levofloxacin 500 mg (Levogrand-500) – antibiotic • Acebrophylline capsule (AB Phylline) – bronchodilator + mucolytic • Ambroxol + Guaiphenesin + Terbutaline syrup (LS syrup) – cough syrup • Likely an anti-allergic tablet (blister strip) This combination is usually given for: • Acute bronchitis • Bacterial lower respiratory infection • Severe productive cough If it is “not working,” the possibilities are: 1️⃣ Your cough may be viral (antibiotics won’t help). 2️⃣ It may be allergic or post-viral dry cough. 3️⃣ It may be acid reflux–related. 4️⃣ It may be post-nasal drip. Important question: • Is your cough dry or with phlegm? • Any fever? • Any wheezing or breathlessness? • How many days total now? If no fever and mainly dry cough → antibiotics often do not help.
Next Steps
✔ If cough is dry: • Steam inhalation • Anti-allergic at night • Sometimes short course of inhaler works better than antibiotic ✔ If cough with thick phlegm: • Continue mucolytic • Drink warm fluids • Steam twice daily ✔ If cough >3 weeks: • Chest X-ray • CBC • Consider asthma evaluation ⚠ If you have: • Breathlessness • Chest pain • Blood in sputum • High fever → Seek immediate medical review Do not extend antibiotic course without review.
Health Tips
✔ Avoid cold drinks ✔ Avoid dust exposure ✔ Sleep with head slightly elevated ✔ Honey + warm water at night helps ✔ Do not self-add more antibiotics Most coughs take 2–3 weeks to completely settle even after infection improves. If you tell me duration, type of cough, and whether you smoke, I can guide more specifically. If this cough is persisting despite treatment, book an online consultation so we can properly assess whether this is infection, allergy, asthma, or reflux and adjust treatment accurately instead of randomly changing medicines.

You are already on strong antibiotics and cough syrup. If not improving in 3–4 days, it needs re-check. Steam inhalation, warm fluids, avoid dust/smoke. If breathlessness, high fever, or chest pain happens, seek urgent care. Please consult me for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Hello, If your cough is not improving despite taking Levogrand 500, AB-Phylline and LS expectorant syrup, it means the cause may not be simple bacterial infection. Many coughs in young adults are due to viral infection, allergy, or airway irritation, where antibiotics may not show much benefit immediately. The chest X-ray image should also be correlated clinically.
Next Steps
What you can do next: • Complete the prescribed course unless side effects occur. • If cough persists beyond 5–7 days, get re-evaluation done. • Check if you have wheezing, breathlessness, or allergy symptoms. • Steam inhalation 1–2 times daily can help. • If fever, chest pain, or worsening breathlessness occurs, seek urgent care.
Health Tips
Avoid dust, smoke, and cold drinks. • Drink warm fluids frequently. • Take adequate rest to support recovery. If you share how many days you’ve had this cough and whether it is dry or with sputum, I can guide you more specifically.
