Concern on weight gain
Baby girl born with weight 4.2 kg. 1 month weight was 4.7 kg 2 month weight 5.2 kg 3 month weight 5.6 kg 4 month weight 6 kg 5 month weight 6.2 kg She is exclusive bf. Her weight gain is very slow. Also she is active. Is this weight gain normal? Do i need to supplement with formula,

It’s fine . Breast milk babies will go slower after 3 months ; slimmer happy baby is perfect one.Formula milk babies will have more wt gain ,this is absolutely not needed bcz future risk of obesity.More birth weight babies growth also slow. As per US 7 kg in India 6-7 kg is ok.

It is important to know here if the mother was diabetic for which the baby was 4.2kg. If so then its ok for 5m baby to be 6kg
