Cirrhosis, protein diet, uric acid
70 yrs has early cirrhosis.  Prediabetes, hypertension, subclinical hyperthyroidism. Dr suggested increased protein intake to prevent muscle wasting due to cirrhosis.  But her uric acid is 6.9.   Creatinine 1.04.  Total protein 7.9. * Will increase in protein intake, increase her uric acid levels??  Also can high protein raise ammonia buildup? What to do?
