The blood pressure reading should be an average of 2 or 3 measurements(don't consider the first reading) taken at 2 or 3 different times with the patient:
Having had no exercise, caffeine, or smoking for at least 30 minutes,Seated in a chair for > 5 minutes, freet on floor, back supported,With the upper limb at heart level with no clothing covering the area of cuff placement
One reading should be at about 6 AM when you get up in the morning before you indulge in any activity (except going to the toilet)
The second reading should be between 2 PM and 4PM (when we expect BP to be high.
The third reading should be before you sleep . It should be about half an hour after you come back from your daily routine.

It’s important to monitor your blood pressure regularly to keep track of your health.
The best time to check your blood pressure is twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Make sure to sit quietly for about five minutes before taking the reading.
When you take your reading, do it twice, with a minute in between each reading, and write down the results in a notebook.
Try to take your readings at the same time every day so that they are consistent and not affected by the events of your day.
Next Steps
Normal blood pressure - less than equal to 120/80 mm of hg.
In case you find fluctuations in your blood pressure reading, kindly consult immediately.
Health Tips
It’s not a good idea to check your blood pressure right after waking up, before breakfast, or before any exercise.
