So all tests were carried out from jak 2 test to bone marrow tests to NGS test. All reports are normal. Last time I checked my blood was 14.8 in March. It's may now and hbg is 16.5. what could be the Issue if every test is normal

Your previous HB and current HB values are normal.
What was your initial HB value?
If you have performed all possible investigations and was found to be normal, then we should think in terms of physical
Altitudes.or we should rule out drugs use medication overuse oxygen saturation disorders.as of now nothing to worry HB normal
Hello I'm Dr mayank Chaudhary, here to help you out...
If all the tests, including the JAK2 test, bone marrow tests, and NGS test, have come back normal and there are no other concerning symptoms or medical conditions present, it's important to consider other factors that could contribute to an increase in hemoglobin levels.
Firstly, it's worth mentioning that the normal range for hemoglobin levels can vary slightly depending on the laboratory and the reference values they use. Generally, normal hemoglobin levels for adult males range from 13.5 to 17.5 grams per deciliter (g/dL). Therefore, your current hemoglobin level of 16.5 g/dL falls within the normal range.
There are a few reasons why your hemoglobin levels may have increased even if all the tests are normal:
Dehydration: Dehydration can cause a temporary increase in hemoglobin concentration in the blood. It's possible that if you were slightly dehydrated during the time of the tests, it could have led to higher hemoglobin levels. Make sure you are well-hydrated before getting a blood test to avoid this.
Altitude: If you live at a high altitude or recently traveled to a high-altitude location, your body may produce more red blood cells to compensate for the lower oxygen levels at higher altitudes. This can result in an increase in hemoglobin levels.
Genetic factors: Some individuals naturally have higher hemoglobin levels due to genetic variations. This can be a normal variation and not necessarily indicative of any underlying health issue. However, this would typically be a lifelong condition and not something that suddenly increases over time.
Since all your tests have come back normal and you don't have any other symptoms,do not panic.if possible have a visit to hematologist he willl guide further in this case..
I hope you liked my effort.
