Beta blockers anxiety
I was having anxiety issues since last one month, and my Bp was getting high. Now my anxiety issue is resolved. All my reports are normal. I visited a doctor who told me to take beta blockers. He said I have no other problem, just anxiety and beta blocker will help me to reduce my anxiety. My question is, I'm not anxious anymore. Do I really need to start beta blockers? I know that once I start taking these medicines, I will have to take them for lifetime and there will be other side effects. That's why I'm asking. If I can work on my anxiety by myself, do I really need to start taking beta blockers?

THERE IS NO DIRECT EVIDENCE OF EFFECT OF BETA BLOCKER IN ANXIETY. IT HELPS IN REDUCING PALPITATIONS AND TREMOR ASSOCIATED WITH ANXIETY.
Next Steps
PLS DISCONTINUE USING BETA BLOCKER IF NO HEART PROBLEM.
