Baby Weight and Water Break during deliv
My baby birth weight 2.7Kgs now after 7 months she is 7Kgs. Baby was delivered by C Section. Water broke in the morning and we had our baby by 4.30 PM same day through C Section. Our parents and in-laws are troubling us a lot over our baby weight. They have devised their own theory that baby lost weight because of water breaking during pregnancy. I told them no but they are not believing it. Can a Doctor help us clarify that baby weight does not decrease if water breaks during delivery please.

Dear parents,        Let your inlaw know that every baby in the womb float in fluid known as Amniotic fluid. Some times rupture of membranes causes this fluid to flow out. No fluid from babies body passes & so no change in baby wt.
