All babies lose weight in the 1st week of life which is around 10%of their birth weight. Then they start gaining weight from the 2nd week. You can sponge the baby with lukewarm water after a coconut oil massage. Wait till baby is 2.5 kg to give a proper bath.

All babies be it small or big loose weight in the initial 10 days. It is normal. With regard to your 2nd question since your baby is low birth weight chance of hypothermia is more. So strictly no bathing till 2.5 kg. Wipe with towel dipped in lukewarm water and pat dry immediately to prevent hypothermia.
It is advisable to bath child after she cross weight of 2.5 to 2.7 kg. As in preterm and low birth weight child most energy she consumed from feeds should be use for weight gain and in bathing more energy will be used. Yes you can do sponging but not kept child fully wet, do it alternatively.
Next Steps
As child is too young it is best to consult pediatrician online or in person and understand well.
