Hello,
Your baby’s weight is just a little below birth weight, and since blood reports are normal, this is most likely related to feeding. With some support, your baby can catch up.
Let’s check weight again in 3–4 days to see improvement.
Next Steps
Feed every 2–3 hours (even at night):
That’s about 8–12 feeds per day.
Ensure deep latch-A good latch means:
You hear swallowing
No pain or nipple clicking
Baby’s cheeks full, not hollow
Empty one breast completely before offering the other:
This ensures baby gets the hindmilk – rich in fats and calories.
Keep baby awake during feeds:
Undress baby to diaper
Tickle feet or gently rub ears
Switch sides if baby gets sleepy
Track wet diapers:
At least 6–8 wet nappies/day means baby is getting enough milk.
Health Tips
Express and top-up with breastmilk by spoon/cup after direct feed.
Meet a lactation consultant if you’re unsure about latching or supply.

Ensure adequate breast feeding ( baby sleeps well after each feed , check for emptyness of bresat after feeding ) responsive feeding even at night time , as it increases breast milk ( by increasing prolactin)
See for latching how baby latching ur breast . Give feeding for 15 min evry time . Give feeding evry 2 nd hrly . If ur milk is not sufficient start formula feed .
