Baby Black color Lip

Asked for Female, 24 Years

On 7th Jan I was blessed with Baby boy. From the day my baby lips are in black color is it because of orafer iron injection taken during 3rd trimester? pls suggest how to get that lip color change ? Also day by day his face is getting darker but his body remains White since birth. Is there any specific reason for this changes.

Hi, Most babies are fair at birth. The normal colour of the baby will be seen between 3-6 months only. Black coloured lips are normal, this is due to feeding. Colour will change in couple of months.

Baby's colour depends on the genetics i.e. parents colour.... no relation to iron injections.. give proper feeding and see few more days. If baby is active nothing to worry. Show to ur pediatrician when u go for next vaccination.
