Hi... Yes, your concerns are very much treatable and very common these days among young adults. Please consult a Psychiatrist immediately. I know some good psychiatrists in Bangalore and I can share contact. This suicidal tendency (ideation/attempt) needs to be addressed immediately to prevent any unfortunate loss. Medications do it neurochemically and are immediate in nature. When risk to life is perceived, medications become an important part of the treatment and recovery process. You also need to consult a Psychologist later and under go Psychotherapy/Counselling which works more latently and address the core issues that are primarily at the root of your condition.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychiatrist first for Diagnosis and Medication. Consult a Psychologist later for Psychotherapy/Counselling. CBT along with Lifestyle Changes and Interpersonal Guidance and Counselling is required.
