For any injury which leads to bridging in the skin continuity or bleeding, it is best to get a shot of inj T Toxoid 0.5ml IM.
Also certain things to look for and manage accordingly:
1) Does he has any comorbidity like Diabetes, hypertension or other chronic illness?
2) Is the wound infected(pus or other form of discharges)?
3) Does he have fever(after the injury)?
If yes to any of the above questions he will need antibiotic coverage and wound healing enzymes too.
